  Raw footage for “Chicago Slices,” a 1994-1995 television series on WPWR about life in and around Chicago. This footage was shot for a segment called “What the El?,” where host Judy Markey approaches random people on Chicago’s elevated train and asks them questions. This tape features Markey doing introduction set-ups for the segment, and 7 good guessers play the game.

  Raw footage shot for the TV series The 90’s. Skip Blumberg goes around the streets of New York taping everyday people and some of their thoughts. A portion of this video shows some of his family life. A larger portion is concerned with the performance of a cheerleading-type routine by a group of girls, which Blumberg has called “The Street”; there are several takes of this spanning about a third of the footage. The recordings take place outside the Marcy Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. On a subsequent tape, the group is called “The Champions.”

Most memorably, a man who has lived on Taylor Street for over 60 years reminisces about being a precinct captain and expresses his loyalty to Richard J. Daley while his companions eat Italian Ice.
