0:40 Animated. If you could have Christmas every day, would you do it? Characters enact Christmas. Girl makes the wish and the fairy looks perplexed.

1:25 Titles. Snippets of Christmas moments. Little girl asks for Christmas every day from Santa. The parents get very upset and begin to tell story.

3:10 Father begins to tell the story about when Granny Matilda was young. Her father returned with gifts from a place far away. Granny received a magic castle from the North Pole. Inside is a magic fairy who grants wishes. She makes the fatal wish. The fairy tries to talk her out of it, but she will not relent. The fairy will only grant the wish for a year initially.

6:15 Black for commercials.

6:20 Program returns. Granny wakes up the next day and it is Christmas. It is a joyous occasion. The next day it is also Christmas. Everyone gets the same gifts – the day is identical. People get crabbier and crabbier about it. Tilly starts to feel guilty about causing this, but can’t summon the courage to admit it to anyone. She begs the fairy to take the wish back.

13:16 Commercial break.

13:20 Program returns. Tilly is still begging, but time passes and it is still Christmas. Tilly’s birthday is very unpleasant for her since it is still Christmas. She decides to go to bed and stay there until it is no longer Christmas. Her sister discovers Tilly’s crime and announces it to the whole town, who purposely walk by her house to ignore her. She decides to run away.

15:44 Commercial break.

15:48 Program returns. Tilly walks forlornly. Her mom and dad catch up with her and convince her that they still love her. Finally, Christmas is over! People celebrate. The Christmas fairy comes back accepts Tilly’s wish to return Christmas back to once a year. Tilly has learned her lesson. We return to the present. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Little girl almost makes the wish, but then wishes she were in bed. The fairy floats her to bed and wishes her Merry Christmas and then flies out the window.
