Tom Weinberg's comments: "Juan was probably the most far-out artist I ever met or worked with. He was from Chile and lived in New York. He had an extensive knowledge of fine and classical arts (he taught at Pratt in Brooklyn) but his own work was genuinely off the wall. Who else would smoke the herbs with the indigenous people, then go out hunting with them? and videotape the whole thing. Is it art or is it just Juan? He will be missed."
