Footage for The 90's Election Specials. Videomaker Nancy Cain visits the set of "Designing Women" in Hollywood in order to talk to longtime Clinton family friend and fundraiser Linda Bloodworth-Thomason. Raw footage for the master edit found on 10701.

01:30Copy video clip URL Linda Bloodworth-Thomason goes on-set to give script notes. Then she and Cain go into the office in order to do an interview.

04:31Copy video clip URL Interview with Linda Bloodworth-Thomason. Cain asks her about her involvement with the Bill Clinton campaign. The woman says they have a home in Arkansas, and have been involved in many aspects of the campaign. She says fundraising is hard, but it’s worth it. Her family has introduced a lot of their social connections to the Clintons for years. She tells Cain that the show “Evening Shade” was actually named by Hillary Clinton. Cain brings her back to the campaign, but the interview is interrupted.

12:52Copy video clip URL Back to the interview. Bloodworth-Thomason tells us about the lack of campaign slogans in the Clinton campaign, and advertisements that she put together. She continues to talk about her fundraising work, and says that the Clintons are “not doing this for personal glory,” but they have a record of legislation that shows their qualifications.

16:50Copy video clip URL Cain asks about Hillary Clinton and questions about the possibility that she could one day become president. Thomason says Hillary is one of the most impressive people she’s ever met, and praises the marriage of Bill and Hillary: “They really are a love story.”

19:34Copy video clip URL Cain asks about the possibility of Hillary having a place in the cabinet, and Thomason says that that is a possibility, but regardless, Hillary will be “the greatest first lady since Eleanor Roosevelt, and maybe ever.” Finally, she describes Hillary dolls she is making that say “Heck, if you don’t like him then don’t vote for him.” The interview ends as Thomason returns to the set.
