00:00Copy video clip URL This tape continues with footage of Clinton campaign officials working on the day of the Clinton victory party. Videomaker Tom Weinberg continues to talk with David Wilhelm about some of the work in the campaign. Weinberg and camera operator Eddie Becker interview another campaign employee, “Chuck.” He talks about the some of the recent polling results and Chicago politics.

05:26Copy video clip URL Campaign employees watch attentively as some more of the polling results and campaign happenings are announced on a TV newscast. This lasts for a good portion of the tape.

21:30Copy video clip URL Interview with the Illinois State Political Coordinator for the Clinton Campaign. He tells us that he supported Bill Clinton since he was first introduced to him by his old friend, Hillary Clinton, about five years ago. When asked about what he likes about Clinton’s politics, he says: ” … [Clinton’s] concerned with people … and using government as an instrument of change.”

25:05Copy video clip URL We move to a grand ballroom of Chicago’s Palmer House Hotel. David Wilhelm is mobbed by reporters asking various questions. The sound cuts out very briefly.

35:20Copy video clip URL Interview with Lois Therion, a reporter with “Business Week.” She expresses her thoughts on Wilhelm’s answers to various questions. She is curt and evasive.

38:17Copy video clip URL A campaign worker places voting result percentages on a scoreboard. Clinton is leading in Illinois and Michigan, with 53 percent and 50 percent, respectively. Avid Clinton supporters cheer as the polling data is posted. Becker continues to gather footage of David Wilhelm speaking with a reporter about the campaign.

42:02Copy video clip URL Becker gathers footage of the victory party band playing as audience members await Clinton’s arrival. We watch as campaign officials, one of them being Rahm Emanuel, talk logistics before Clinton arrives. Wilhelm continues to do a number of interviews and speak with others about Clinton’s performance in the polls.

53:08Copy video clip URL Bill Clinton is introduced. Wilhelm and other staff members look on as he makes his way onto the stage.

54:20Copy video clip URL Bill Clinton gives his victory speech. While we can hear the speech, we cannot see Clinton. The camera’s lens is fixed on David Wilhelm a lot of the time.

As he finishes, the crowd is blanketed in a storm of confetti. We watch as Wilhelm, Emanuel, and other campaign officials celebrate Clinton’s victory in Illinois and Michigan. This lasts for the remainder of the tape.
