A 1992 conversation with Joe Biden

As Joe Biden is set to be inaugurated on January 20th, Media Burn is highlighting a 1992 interview with the former Senator.

An interview conducted by Skip Blumberg for The 90’s with then-Senator Joseph R. Biden.

At 12pm Eastern on January 20th, former Vice President Joseph R. Biden will be sworn into office as our country’s 46th president. Biden’s inauguration marks the end of a Trump presidency that has driven divisiveness throughout our nation; it marks the return of an establishment executive at a time when the political establishment seems weaker than ever. Biden also inherits a nation facing unprecedented challenges.

In the spirit of highlighting how much the United States’ political sphere has changed in the past few decades, Media Burn presents an interview with then-Senator Joe Biden from a 1992 presidential debate between George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Ross Perot at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Biden was present in the ‘spin room’ that followed the presidential debate.

The interview was shot by Skip Blumberg for The 90’s nearly 30 years ago. Though the subject matter of the interview is dated, it is a casual, honest, and intimate look at our new president. Check it out now!
