Journalism

Topic Description

Journalists are charged with reporting the “facts” of events and telling stories about people’s lives. Journalism, as a field, has historically been responsible for checks and balances on our government and other institutions. Yet, some journalistic practices raise questions about ethics, such as “yellow” or sensational journalism and celebrity reporting. The videos in this collection are meant to help students examine the practice of journalism and the ethics of reporting.
