  “Cocaine Express” is a short documentary about the experiences of photographer Henry Herr Gill and writer Rick Soll, journalists for the Chicago Sun Times. They describe the details and enormous scale of the underground drug trade between the United States and nations in South America. The footage is mostly black and white photographic stills with Gill and Soll narrating. They trace their steps through different South and Central American towns, and talk about various characters and situations they encountered along the way.

  Tongue-in-cheek polemic against a 1979 Chicago Magazine article about the failures and debaucheries of Southern Illinois University–Carbondale (“Burned Out in Carbondale”). The video takes the form of a 60 Minutes-esque investigation. It has several humorous segments and parodies, including rounds in a dilapidated library, an academic adviser who is actually a magician/diviner, and a woman who passes through a neighborhood bar (PK’s) selling test answers.

  This Image Union episode has three major parts. The first is a look back on the Chicago amusement park, Riverview, the second is a piece on the Illinois lottery by Tom Palazzolo, and the third is a reminisce on vaudeville performance by Rudy Horn, a former Vaudeville performer.
