[Artaud rehearsal: Ireland, letters, lips intro]

This tape documents the preparation for the joint Videopolis / Victory Gardens Theater production of "Artaud." Production members and actors create footage that will be played on video monitors during the play.

Pat Miller and another member of the play rehearse a scene in a park with a stone bridge somewhere in the Chicagoland area, chosen for its resemblance to Ireland. Along with videographer Anda Korsts, they discuss which shots they would like to set up. This lasts for several minutes.

08:50Copy video clip URL Cut to a shot of another actor being coached by director Jim Rinnert. Miller is also present. The group talk about the “letters” scene and how important it is to the play. They go over what they would like to portray with the footage. The actor goes through several takes of the scene. In between each take, Rinnert and Korsts comment and make changes along the way. This lasts for a large portion of the tape.
