0:18 A short piece on how Bill Eddy came to be one of the first and most important television men in Chicago. Philo T. Farnsworth helped him into it. Bill developed an innovative lighting system and started WBKB, the first commercially licensed television station in Chicago. Bill says, “We looked to completely revolutionizing the family life. I think it’s done that, sometimes for the good, and sometimes for the bad.” Produced by Reinald Werrenrath.
