It is set up to look like a neighborhood complete with traffic lights, other drivers, and street signs. There are also obstacles to keep kids paying attention. The purpose of this instructional center is to cut down on the injuries and deaths to young cyclists. They teach children ages 6-12. She talks about some of the risks and dangers that come along with suburban bike-riding. Then she talks about the way the bicycle instruction center came about, in terms of funding and construction.
