The tape features raw footage from the television show "Wired In." While the  program never actually came to fruition, the footage and demos put together are an interesting look into the the technological trends and innovations of the 1980s. In this video, we watch as children put computers to use at The Learning Circuit, a computer learning center in California.

00:21Copy video clip URL The children continue to talk about people’s fears of computers. The children talk about their likes and dislikes of computers.

02:52Copy video clip URL The filmmakers interview another child about her experiences with computers. The girl timidly talks about how she ended up taking a computer course at the Learning Circuit. She talks about some of the skills she’s acquired and how she might apply them to what she does in the future. She also talks about a dream she had in which a computer tried to eat her. This lasts for several minutes.

06:35Copy video clip URL The young girl talks the fear of computers among those who don’t know anything about them. She also talks about a specific program she had used in class. After the interview, the film crew gathers more footage of children using the computers from within the Learning Circuit. This lasts for the remainder of the tape.
