00:09Copy video clip URL Cut to a shot from inside of Bill Veeck’s hotel room. Roland Hemond is on the telephone desperately trying to book a flight out of Sarasota. Veeck quietly smokes on his bed.

01:30Copy video clip URL Cut to a shot of a Sarasota newspaper weather report. Skip Blumberg continues to gather footage from within the hotel room. Hemond talks to a fellow colleague about the current weather situation. They quietly sit waiting to figure out their next plan of action.

03:51Copy video clip URL Veeck tries to get a hold of a plane to fly the White Sox team out of Sarasota. He remains calm but becomes slightly frustrated as he speaks with a number of different people about the situation. He was hoping to have Cuban President Fidel Castro send a plane for the team to go to Cuba and use their baseball facilities to train. After several minutes, Veeck hangs up the phone and and groans in frustration. He then gets right back on the phone to try and figure out where the team can go.
