This tape features raw footage for the documentary "None of the Above," an in depth ethnographic look at non voters in this country. This video features footage and interviews with Michael and Holly Bowser of Morro Bay, California. Bowsers #3.

Callaway first asks her about Morro Bay. Bowser talks about her love for the area and labels it a “really caring place.” She emphasizes the community aspect of the town and the lack of politics involved with it.

04:00Copy video clip URL Callaway asks Bowser whether she believes that there is anything good about government in the U.S. She responds by talking about the development of public health and emphasizing its importance. She goes on to talk about a variety of issues including: the health care system, the highway system, and social security. She goes on to talk about her past travels through the U.S. and lists three things that the government could do to win her trust back. This lasts for several minutes.

She emphasizes the need for less governmental involvement in her daily life and highlights some of the changes that she believes need to be made. However, she talks about a few governmental programs that she believes are working. This lasts for several minutes.

21:30Copy video clip URL Michael Bowser makes his way back into the conversation after the documentarians discuss logistics with the family. He briefly talks about the notion of gun control. We watch as the family gets ready for dinner. This lasts for several minutes.

29:01Copy video clip URL Cut to a shot of a boat on a harbor in Morro Bay. It is very early in the morning and the Bowser family is preparing for a couple hours of fishing together. We watch as Michael places bait upon the fishing reels for his children. As the sun slowly rises, the Bowsers patiently wait for the fish to bite. This lasts for nearly the duration of the tape.
