He says the main reason the campaign worked was strategic consensus on issues of change and economy as well as consensus on which states to focus on. They talk about the bus tour; Wilhelm says that while Ross Perot was doing TV spots and President George H.W. Bush was “sequestered in the White House,” Clinton and Senator Al Gore were out showing people that the candidates shared their values. Reporter brings up past Democrats whose statements that got them the Democratic nomination would later “come back to haunt them in the general election.” Wilhelm says that Clinton is a New Democrat from a new Democratic party. The reporter asks about members of Congress that are too liberal for Clinton. Wilhelm responds that they expect to find a Congress that is excited for progress and change.

One of the staffers interviews videomaker Scott Jacobs, asking him if he thinks Little Rock is the next New York.
