Air Dates: May 20, 27, 1991
Description:
Two clowns harass Joe as he reads a letter from “Him” accusing the show of taking itself too seriously. Then, a shameless reworking of two early episodes:
Michelle Heuer’s first appearance (from Episode 12: Feet) is reprised, when she tells of her punk adolescence in London. John Harriman recalls his misspent youth in Chicago (from Episode 8: Stories About Policemen.) Both tales are told as monologues in close-up.
Production Notes:
As you might expect, this rehashing was done because the crew didn’t have time to make a whole new show. However, this is a strong episode for those who haven’t seen the stories before – they compliment each other well.
