Raw footage for "Wired In," a never completed series on the technological trends and innovations of the 1980s. In this video, we watch as a number of Apple employees continue to talk about the layout of the Apple manual for their desktop computers entitled, "A Personal Guide to Person Computers." Advertising Manager Henry Whitfield, Editorial Services Manager Monte Lorenzet, Graphic Designer Russell Leong, and Editorial Services Writer Pete Lundstrom talk about the book in great detail. They emphasize the theme of computer education in many of the photos and illustrations. One employee stresses the need for decreasing consumer fears of the technology and offers techniques and strategies to incorporate into the manual. They continue to talk about the manual for the remainder of the tape.

Another employee refers to the company as “Apple is educator” and talks about aiding people in the process of becoming more familiar with computers. They go on to talk about the theme of “Apple as peer” as another marketing strategy. This lasts for several minutes.
