  Chicago Crossings: Bridges and Boundaries (Kartemquin Films, 1994) We’re pleased to unveil a newly digitized collection of 100 camera original tapes by Kartemquin Films. The tapes were shot for an uncompleted project documenting visual artists called Chicago Crossings: Bridges and Boundaries. The entire collection is now available for free online as the result of an 18-month project funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.   Famed Boxing Promoter, Manager and Trainer Lou Duva dies at 94

  A son of Italian immigrants, Duva was born in 1922. By the 1950’s Duva owned a successful trucking company and was happily married. He began spending a great deal of time at the legendary Stillman’s Gym. Stillman’s Gym drew a slew of famous boxers and managers. Inspired, Lou sold his trucking company and started Garden Gym.   We’re pleased to present newly preserved and digitized works from the 1970s by Cindy Neal, an independent Chicago-based videomaker. After attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she worked at Videopolis and then became the director and curator of exhibitions at the Chicago Editing Center starting in 1978, which later became the Center for New Television.
