The Information We Collect and How We Collect It
We collect information from you when you register with the site in order to provide you with a personalized experience while visiting our website, which we designed to help make it more efficient, interesting and fun for you.
We only get your personally-identifiable information when you register. Our registration form requests information from you regarding your name, address, e-mail address, and optional telephone number.
Donations and DVD purchases are processed through the secure Paypal API.  To make a purchase, this form requires your credit card number with expiration date, and cvv code from the back of the card.
Any personal information that you voluntarily disclose online in the forums or video feedback becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others.
We also use visitor counts to help us determine new directions for us to take with the site.  These are just numbers and we have no way of identifying individuals in this process. Like most websites, the mediaburn servers may automatically track certain information about your activity on our website. This information, which allows us to keep our website running efficiently, may include the browser you are using, your operating system, and your IP address.  We will never provide this internal data for any purpose other than for use by mediaburn.org.
We use cookies, clear gifs, and log file information to: (a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit mediaburn.org; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; and (c) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, etc. for our own development use. Because cookies are stored on your hard drive, not on our servers, you are always free to set your browser to decline our cookies and you can delete them from your computer. If you do so, you will still be able to access our website, but will not be able to buy anything since they are necessary in that process.

To ensure that end, we store the personal information you provide on computer servers with limited access that is located in a controlled facility. Additionally, when we transmit sensitive personal information (such as credit card number) over the Internet, we protect it through encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. We do all we can to maintain security for our visitors, but even with our best efforts, we cannot guarantee the security of your information, as it is always the good guys keeping up with the bad guys on the internet.
How We Use the Information We Collect
We only use it to make and complete transactions online. The information is collected by Paypal and is processed and stored by them.
