LINCOLN IS CRYING: The Grifters, Grafters & Governors of Illinois is a scathing indictment of politics in the “Land of Lincoln”…and it’s funny too. The newly updated documentary from filmmakers John Davies and Brian Kallies presents a funny/sad look at the pervasive, deep-rooted culture of political corruption in Illinois. Why focus on Illinois? In the past half century, almost 2,000 elected officials and appointees—from both political parties—have been charged with and/or convicted of corruption, including, most recently, Alderman Ed Burke.
