Tom Weinberg speaks through the camera to Paul Harvey and his wife, requesting permission to shoot a WTTW documentary about Harvey, a local radio personality. To aid his case, Weinberg shows approximately 3 minutes of completed footage for the documentary. There are a few MOS-type interviews with truckers at a rest stop explaining why they like Paul Harvey, plus extensive praise from Harry Caray, Chicago's famous sports announcer. These interviews are bracketed by footage shot inside a vehicle driving through rural Midwestern areas with Harvey's radio show as audio.
