This is a continuation of the Whip meeting. Poor audio throughout. Video cuts in and out and goes to black throughout the tape. Most of the tape consists of setup. Audio switches back and forth between channels.

The tape opens with b-roll footage of billboards advertising that Rostenkowski is “Working for Chicago,” and that Rostenkowski means “Leadership for Chicago.” B-roll footage of the exterior of Rostenkowski’s Chicago office follows.

They are asked what Rostenkowski’s role is at the convention. Few of the delegates seem to know. One suggests that Rostenkowski’s role is to find common ground among the various factions of the Democratic Party that are represented at the convention.
