Raw tape for The 90’s election specials. This tape has no sound. Democratic presidential candidate Paul Tsongas makes an appearance at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood. Its pastor, Dr. Arthur M. Brazier, was an important figure in the civil rights movement as a founder of The Woodlawn Organization.
Footage for The 90’s Election Specials. Videomaker Andrew Jones goes in and around the Robins Center building at the University of Richmond in Virginia, where the presidential debate will be taking place later that night.
Raw footage of Jane Byrne’s Easter Celebration at Cabrini Green in 1981. This tape begins with a continuation of footage of Byrne at the carnival and riding on a carousel. After she leaves, a protest begins, and demonstrators are quickly arrested. Activist Marion Stamps and reporter Lu Palmer are interviewed.

Raw footage for “Chicago Slices,” a series about everyday life in Chicago. This video is a continuation of footage of a benefit for Community Support Systems, a non-profit organization based in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. This is followed by Tobi Johnson interviewing members of the Klingon Assault Group at a Star Trek Convention in Harvey, Illinois. She interviews Jerry Murphy, of the group, who says that they put on full Klingon make-up and costume and perform service work in the community. Johnson also follows around a set of twin boys who are new members of the group and tell a bit about the Star Trek fan community and how they are involved in the group.
