Andrew Jones goes to several places involved in the Sandifer/ Shevon Dean incident and examines the aftermath of said incident. He also talks with a policymaker about the issue.
Andrew Jones investigates the aftermath of the murder of 11-year-old Robert “Yummy” Sandifer, who had been accused of killing 14-year-old Shavon Dean in the Roseland neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Two brothers, Cragg and Derrick Hardaway, were arrested for the murder of Sandifer. Jones talks to family and friends about the tragedy of two murders of teenagers and how it reflects on our society.

Jones shoots near The Kohn School, the school attended by the Hardaway brothers (the boys who were accused of killing Sandifer) to find friends and acquaintances who can talk about them. Jones is unable to find an interview subject who can really comment. He later shoots in the tunnel where Sandifer was found dead. 0:00 Jones continues to shoot in the viaduct where Sandifer was killed. He runs in to a few people who are checking out the murder scene and gets some good commentary on the incident, gangs, and the boy’s life. One man also is able to explain some of the subtleties hidden in the gang symbols.
0:00 Jones goes to Shavon Dean’s house to interview neighbors and friends, including her aunt and cousin. Between interviews, he shoots the shrine that has been erected in front of her house.
