Pat Buchanan has just finished speaking, and a Croatian spokesperson gives his heartfelt thanks to Buchanan for his devotion to their cause. Buchanan responds by saying, “Your cause is my cause. God bless you, and God bless a free Croatia.” The crowd chants, “We love Pat!” Buchanan walks through the crowd shaking hands.

06:28Copy video clip URL The tape cuts, and Buchanan is outside O’Malley’s, an Irish pub on the southwest side of Chicago. He is leaving as videomaker Aaron Freeman arrives, but Freeman ventures inside to get reactions. The owner gives a favorable response to Buchanan, though he’s not sure about his vote. “We need someone to stir the pot,” at least during the election; “he’s getting people to think.”

14:02Copy video clip URL Some kids hold Buchanan posters and say it was fun to meet the candidate. Their father says they are “strongly committed to family values,” and that’s why they support Buchanan, citing “an overabundance of greed and lack of humanity” in today’s world.
