This tape is a collection of Chicago White Sox promo commercials for opening day 1976. Players included in the promos are as follows: Ralph Carr, Bucky Dent, Minnie Minoso, Rich Gossage, Jorge Orta, and Brian Downing. Throughout the tape, there are both small and large breaks in between the promo footage.
This tape features a 1984 episode of “Time Out,” a weekly sports program that is hosted by a number of Chicago area journalists and sportscasters. This week’s commentators are John Schulian of the Chicago Sun-Times, Kenny McReynolds, a WBMX Sportscaster and Assistant Coach for DePaul University’s Men’s Basketball team, WIND reporter Fran Spielman, and All Pro Chicago Bears Safety Gary Fencik.

Seated in his living room, Finley addresses controversial topics like the Designated Hitter Rule, the use of drugs in baseball, and the changes he believes will take place in the upcoming years. With b-roll from inside Finley’s house, he explains the rare and antique items that adorn it and shows off some of the house’s more unique features.
